A
day after Mail Today reported on the murder of 14-year-old Yogesh Kumar in
Delhi, police said a man's hunt is to catch three suspects while one of them
has already been nailed.
Yogesh's
mother has claimed that he was held hostage and lynched by his Muslim friends.
According to police, Shravan, who was arrested two days after the incident, has
not confessed his involvement in the crime.
During
the interrogation, he revealed that he was accompanied by three friends and one
of them is a Muslim. A source close to the investigation said:
"Circumstantial evidence suggests that the five consumed alcohol in the
late hours of June 23. It may have had a intense discussion that it first
turned into a fight and later resulted in the death of Yogesh”.

However,
Yogesh's mother, Seema, told Mail Today: "On June 23, Yogesh left the
house after receiving a call from his friend Arif. He, along with other friends,
including a girl named Fatima. They told me that if they did not give the money
on time, they would kill my son.
"The next morning, I was told that my son
was killed and thrown somewhere along the railway line near the New Delhi
station”, Said Seema, who lives in Shahadra's Meet Nagar.
Yogesh
was found dead in mysterious circumstances near the New Delhi station last
month. Multiple marks of injuries were found all over his face and the body
indicated that he had been beaten to death. Meanwhile, on Monday, police said
it was not a case of lynching, but a brutal murder. An FIR in possession of
Mail Today says that the body was lying in a pool of blood. Broken glass jars,
a stone and some bricks were also found with traces of blood.
